A*Star International Fellowships (AIF) 2025 in Singapore - Fully Funded is available to undertake Fellowship, Post Doctorate level programs at Singapore Universities.

Eligibility

PhD Completion: PhD completed within the past four years. Applicants in the final stages of their PhD may apply, but their award is confirmed only upon successful PhD completion. Academic Record: Excellent publication record Employment: No existing employment commitments. Post-doctoral Position: Applied or are applying for a relevant post-doctoral position at a top overseas university or laboratory. Mid-Term AIF Applicants (Additional Requirements): Must be Singaporean citizens. Currently enrolled in a top overseas university or laboratory at the time of application. Maintain a strong publication record. One of the two academic referees must be the current university/lab supervisor. Please note: Applicants in the final stages of their PhD can apply for the AIF. However, the award will only be confirmed after they successfully complete their PhD.

Benefits

Financial Support: Successful applicants will receive a comprehensive support package for up to two years of overseas postdoctoral research training. The specific amounts will vary depending on the chosen country, university, or laboratory. A*STAR reserves the right to adjust these rates periodically. Support includes: Monthly Overseas Living Allowance: This allowance helps cover your living expenses while abroad. Monthly Sustenance Allowance (with CPF contribution, if applicable): This allowance provides additional financial support, and may include contributions to Singapore's Central Provident Fund (CPF) if you are eligible. Annual Return Airfare: This covers the cost of one round-trip flight per year to return to Singapore. Other Allowances: Settling-in Allowance: To assist with initial costs upon arrival at your overseas destination. Computer Allowance: To help with purchasing necessary research equipment. Conference Allowance: To support participation in relevant academic conferences. Annual Personal Insurance: Provides basic health and accident insurance coverage. Mid-Term AIF Awardees: Mid-term AIF awardees will receive the same level of support as full-term awardees, starting from the date of the award. This includes reimbursement for any mandatory fees incurred from the beginning of their research training.

Singaporean Citizens
Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) with exceptional track records (considered on a case-by-case basis)
Foreign applicants must obtain Singaporean citizenship before starting the fellowship.

Application Procedure

You can now apply for the ASTAR International Fellowship (AIF) 2025 from July 1, 2024 until the application deadline of October 1, 2024. More information can be found on the ASTAR website given down below Interview Process Shortlisted candidates will undergo two rounds of interviews. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified of interview details. Result Announcement Successful candidates for the second cycle will be notified from December. Application Deadline The application deadline for the A*STAR International Fellowship is October 1, 2024 .
