Eligibility
To be eligible for an ALA scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a master’s level program in library and information science that is accredited by the ALA. For those interested in school librarianship, attending a program that follows ALA curriculum guidelines for the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) is mandatory. The ALA scholarship application process is open from September through March, with the deadline for 2025 applications set for March 1, 2025 .
