Eligibility

Be engaged in applied, data-driven public health or epidemiology work. Have senior leadership support for transitioning to R. Application Procedure
Applications open January 20, 2025 , and close on February 10, 2025 . Before applying, gather the following information: A detailed plan on how your team will transition to R. A summary of each team member’s education, computer literacy, and data experience. Information on previous efforts to secure alternative funding sources. Selection Process and Next Steps If selected, the team leader will be invited for a 45-minute interview in mid-to-late February 2025. Successful applicants can then: Enroll in the 2025 Introduction to R course. Schedule private courses (for teams of 10 or more). Access the Support Desk for workflow assistance. Other Available Scholarships If you work in a low-resource jurisdiction in the United States, you may qualify for a US CDC-sponsored scholarship.
