Eligibility
The 2025 Human Resources Development in Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Scholarship by AUN/SEED-Net offers exceptional candidates the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. in engineering at esteemed Japanese Partner Universities. To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: Affiliation: Applicants should be faculty members or outstanding students from AUN/SEED-Net Member Institutions (MIs). This includes institutions across ASEAN countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Age Limit: Applicants should be, in principle, not exceeding 35 years old at the time of arrival in Japan. Academic Qualifications: A Master's degree in a relevant engineering field is required, or candidates should be on track to obtain one before departing for Japan. Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate strong proficiency in English to effectively engage in study and research activities. Submission of English proficiency test scores such as TOEFL or IELTS is recommended. Health Status: Candidates should be in good physical and mental health to undertake the program. Scholarship Status: Applicants must not be recipients of other scholarships at the time of application.
