Boise State’s automatic nonresident scholarships include: Ridgeline Scholarship Summit Scholarship Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) WUE Nursing Transfer versions of each award These scholarships are awarded based on GPA, residency, major selection, and enrollment status. Priority Deadlines Spring Priority Deadline: October 1 Fall Priority Deadline: December 15 All admission documents must be submitted by these dates to be considered.

Eligible majors vary; however:

WUE Nursing is specific to nursing majors.
WUE applicants must select an eligible major and reside in a WUE-approved U.S. state or territory.

Required GPA: 3.50–4.00
Value: Approximately $15,938 per year

Value: $10,000 per year

Eligible Nationalities

To qualify for WUE or other nonresident scholarships, students must be:

U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents
Nonresidents of Idaho

Permanent residence must be in one of these WUE-participating states/territories:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Northern Marianas Islands, American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Micronesia.

Boise State Wue Award Detailed Overview

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Award is one of Boise State’s highest-value automatic scholarships.

Application Procedure

Boise State automatic scholarships do not require a separate application. Students are automatically considered by completing these steps:

Step 1 – Apply for Admission
Submit the Boise State undergraduate application.
Pay the application fee or request a waiver.
Step 2 – Submit All Required Documents
Official transcripts
Test scores (if applicable)
Residency documentation (if requested)
Documents must be received before the priority deadline.
Step 3 – Select an Eligible Major
Major choice affects eligibility, especially for WUE and transfer scholarships.
Step 4 – Receive Scholarship Notification
