Eligibility
To qualify for the BSPS Doctoral Scholarship, applicants must: Be applying for a PhD program in Philosophy or Philosophy of Science at a UK university. Confirm their ineligibility for AHRC funding or provide details of their AHRC application status. Disclose any other secured funding sources and list pending funding applications. Full tuition fees at the home/domestic student rate for up to three years. Maintenance stipend at the current UKRI rate to support living expenses. Research training support, if required. Partial funding adjustments: If the applicant has already secured partial funding, the BSPS will adjust its grant accordingly.

Application Procedure
1. Applicant Submission Applicants must submit a single PDF document named LASTNAME-Firstname.pdf, including: CV (maximum two pages). Research Proposal (up to 1,500 words). Transcript of the most recent relevant degree. Eligibility Statement covering AHRC funding status, secured funding details, and pending applications. Admission Status proof if already accepted into a PhD program. 2. Supervisor Submission The proposed supervisor must submit a brief statement (maximum 500 words) explaining why they support the applicant’s research and why their institution is a suitable fit. 3. References Two academic referees (excluding the proposed supervisor) must send reference letters directly to the BSPS Honorary Secretary. 4. Submission Details All applications, supervisor statements, and references should be emailed to bspssecretary@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is 11:00 AM on Saturday, 29 March 2025 .
