Application Procedure

The CFSP application process is unique and does not involve direct individual applications. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Internal Selection by Institutions
Your institution (university, government office, public/ private sector body) conducts internal recruitment to identify qualified candidates.
Step 2: Nomination to Local Advisory Committee
Selected candidates submit documents to the Local Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from relevant ministries and sectors.
Step 3: National Evaluation

The Advisory Committee evaluates:

Alignment with institutional capacity-building goals
Candidate’s professional role and contribution potential
Academic excellence
French-language proficiency
Gender and regional balance
A Canadian diplomatic mission oversees the process to ensure transparency.
Step 4: Admission to a Canadian Institution
Shortlisted candidates must then apply for admission to Canadian universities or colleges.
Step 5: Final Award Confirmation
The scholarship becomes effective only after admission is granted.
