Be a Nigerian national and resident in Nigeria

Have at least two years of relevant professional work experience

Hold a bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent) awarded no earlier than 2014

Not hold a master’s degree or higher qualification

Be applying for a new master’s programme starting in August 2026

Be able to demonstrate:

Leadership potential

Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria

Willingness to promote positive relationships with Ireland

Applicants must not have applied to the Ireland Fellows Programme more than once before and should be ready to begin their fellowship in the 2026–27 academic year.
