Benefits

Students may receive one or more of the following benefits depending on the scholarship:

General Benefits

20% to 50% tuition fee reductions for the duration of the degree.
Automatic scholarship assessment for many programs (no separate application needed).
Opportunity to study in Darwin, Sydney, or Alice Springs.

Scholarship Specific Benefits

VCIHAS:

50% tuition fee coverage for entire degree.

Global Merit Scholarship:

30% tuition fee reduction.

Bachelor of Nursing Scholarship:

Up to 20% tuition fee discount.

Dili International School Scholarship:

Students pay only AUD 13,750 per year
CDU covers remaining tuition + on-campus accommodation

International College Scholarships (China & East Asia):

30% tuition discount (first year only).

International College Scholarships (All Other Regions):

15% or 30% tuition fee discount.

Australia Awards Scholarships:

Fully funded benefits including tuition, living allowance, visa, travel, OSHC, and academic support.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for CDU international scholarships, applicants generally must:

General Eligibility

Be an international student (full-fee paying).
Meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen CDU course.
Meet the English language proficiency requirements.
Apply to commence studies in an eligible intake (2024, 2025, or 2026 depending on scholarship).
Maintain a full-time enrolment on-campus.
Accept the offer before the required intake deadlines.

Scholarship Specific Eligibility

VCIHAS: Minimum 95% overall score in highest completed qualification.
Global Merit: Automatic eligibility based on academic merit; must accept offer before deadlines.
Bachelor of Nursing Scholarship: Must apply for Bachelor of Nursing in 2025–2026.
Dili International School Scholarship: Must be a DIS Year 12 graduate with ATAR.
International College Scholarships (China & East Asia): Interview required; must be from an eligible country.
International College Scholarships (All Regions): Interview required for 30% award; academic excellence needed.
Australia Awards: Must be a citizen of an eligible country and meet government criteria.

Ongoing Eligibility

Maintain required GPA (typically GPA 5.0–5.3, no fail grades).
Continue to be an international fee-paying student.
Pay tuition fee share before each semester deadline.
Maintain full-time enrolment (40 credit points) unless approved otherwise.

Follow these steps to secure a CDU international scholarship:

Step 1: Choose a CDU Course
Browse TAFE, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Research programs.
Step 2: Apply for Admission
Submit your application using the CDU online application portal.
Step 3: Apply for Scholarships (Only if required)
VCIHAS and DIS Scholarship require a separate form.
Other scholarships are automatically assessed.
Step 4: Receive Your Offer & Scholarship Outcome
Successful candidates will receive their scholarship confirmation via email.
