Eligibility
To qualify for the Daniels Scholarship Program, you must be in the final year of your high school studies (graduating senior) and meet the following criteria: Be a legal resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming . Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status. Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 in high school. Achieve a minimum score of 490 in both Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing on the SAT, or an ACT score of at least 18 in each category (excluding the writing score). Demonstrate financial need as outlined in the program's details (see the link given below for more information).

Benefits
Full cost of attendance covered: This includes tuition, fees, room and board, books, supplies, and other educational expenses at partner schools within Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming (see the full list of partner schools here [link to partner school list]). Up to $25,000 annually: For students attending a school outside these states, the scholarship awards up to $25,000 per year towards qualified educational expenses. Laptop computer: Daniels Scholars receive a laptop computer to support their studies. Ongoing support: The program offers guidance and assistance throughout your college journey, from application to graduation.

Application Procedure
Application Window: Submit your application online between September 16 and October 18, 2024.
Semi-Finalist Phase: If you advance to this stage (usually notified in October), you'll need to submit essay responses and recommendation letters by November 15, 2024.
Document Verification: To solidify your eligibility, you'll be required to upload documents like your family's tax return (2023), test scores, residency proof, college enrollment verification (if applicable), and FAFSA submission summary. We highly recommend completing the FAFSA as soon as possible after it opens.
Finalist Selection: In January, semi-finalists will be informed if they've been chosen for the final round, which involves a personal interview.
Interviews: Finalists will participate in interviews conducted by local community leaders in February and March.
Scholar Announcement & Orientation: The lucky scholarship recipients will be announced in late March and must attend a mandatory scholarship orientation conference (fully funded by the Daniels Fund) in June.
