DDSA Denmark Postdoc Fellowship Call 2025 is available to undertake PhD, Fellowship, Post Doctorate level programs at Denmark Universities.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the DDSA Postdoc Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Applicant Qualifications Must have a PhD degree or have a thesis accepted for defense before June 1, 2025. The PhD degree must have been awarded within six years before the application deadline. Must have high-level English proficiency. Must have an agreement with a Danish host institution. 2. Research Project Requirements The project must include a strong data science component, whether in theoretical research, method development, or innovative applications. Must align with the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s research scope. Should focus on novelty, impact, and interdisciplinary collaboration. 3. Host Institution The research must be conducted at a Danish university or research center. The host institution must provide a letter of support confirming acceptance of the postdoc. Due to the Danish Postdoc 4-Year Rule, applicants who have already been employed in a postdoc position at the same university for over two years may be ineligible. Evaluation Criteria Applications are assessed based on the following criteria: Applicant Quality – academic achievements, programming skills, research experience. Scientific Independence & Collaboration – research mobility, collaborations, leadership potential. Research Quality – originality, feasibility, and state-of-the-art alignment. Research Impact – contributions to academia, industry, and society. Feasibility – resource availability, ethical considerations, and project execution plan. Collaboration Potential – host institution’s research excellence, interdisciplinary synergy. Alignment with DDSA Scope – relevance to data science and Denmark’s research community.

Applications must be submitted through the DDSA Funding Portal before the deadline. The application process includes the following sections: 1. Research Project Proposal Abstract (Max 2,500 characters) Project Description (Max 8,000 characters) covering: Background and state of the art Research questions and methods Expected outcomes and impact References and citations Motivation Letter (Max 4,500 characters) Data Availability Statement (Optional) 2. Research Environment & Collaboration Description of Research Environment (Max 2,500 characters) Scientific Development Plan (Max 2,500 characters) Support Letters from host institution and major collaborators 3. Applicant Qualifications Curriculum Vitae (CV) (Max 6,000 characters) Publication List (peer-reviewed papers, conference presentations, etc.) PhD Diploma or confirmation letter from the PhD supervisor
