Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health. Education background and age limit: Applicants for pre-college program must have high school diploma and be under 23. Applicants for bachelor degree program must have high school diploma and be under 25. Applicants for master degree program must have bachelor degree and be under 35. Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master degree and under 40. Students that have won the Chinese Government Scholarship or any scholarship offered by other organizations are not entitled to apply SGS.

Scholarship Coverage: Type A: Full Scholarship Tuition: Fully covered. Accommodation: On-campus housing provided (shared double room with a communal bathroom). If you prefer off-campus housing and receive university approval, you'll receive a monthly off-campus living allowance of 700 RMB. Living Stipend: 2,500 RMB per month to help with living expenses. Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical insurance included (coverage amount: 800 RMB per person per year). Type B: Partial Scholarship Tuition: Fully covered. Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical insurance included (coverage amount: 800 RMB per person per year). Note: Value may differ depending on the degree that you have chosen. Complete the online application form and submit the application fee.
Upload the Shanghai Government Scholarship application form

Applications sent by email or fax will not be accepted.
Incomplete applications or those missing the application fee will be disregarded.
Application documents and fees are non-refundable. Hard copies are not required by mail.
ECNU may request original application materials or certified documents for verification purposes.
Check your application status online through your ECNU online account or by email.
Ensure your email address is accurate; important information like interview details will be sent there.
Admission results will be posted on your online application account and the ECNU Global Education Center website (http://lxs.ecnu.edu.cn/en/admission/visiting-programs/global-china-program).
Admitted students must register on time and present original graduation certificates or degrees. Registration will not be possible without these documents.
Incomplete applications or those not meeting eligibility requirements will not be processed.
Applications with fraudulent materials or submitted by a third party will be disqualified.
Scholarship winners who cannot register on time must inform ECNU in writing within 15 days of the admission date. Failure to do so without a valid reason may result in scholarship cancellation.
Scholarships may be revoked for students who fail the physical examination, drop out, or take a leave of absence during their studies.
