Eligibility

Admission Requirements for EACH Programme 2025 Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or chemical engineering with at least 60 ECTS in chemistry-related courses and 20 ECTS in mathematics or physics. A minimum academic performance of 66% of the maximum grade in the completed degree programme. English Language Proficiency: Accepted tests include IELTS Academic (minimum overall 6.5, no section below 5.5), TOEFL iBT® (minimum score 90), Cambridge English B2/C1/C2, and Pearson PTE Academic (minimum score 62). English language exemption is available for students who completed secondary or higher education in English in specified countries. Motivation Letter: Maximum 5000 characters including spaces. Must detail educational background, work experience, and a clear explanation of professional goals and how EACH fits into these ambitions. Must be original and will undergo plagiarism checks. Proof of Residence: An official document from the local municipality or employer confirming the applicant’s current address, issued within 12 months of the application deadline.

Application Procedure

Key Admission Dates and Deadlines Application Period: November 5, 2024 – January 5, 2025 Online Analytical Test: January 2025 Notification of Admission Decisions: March 4, 2025 (latest) Deadline for Hard Copy Submissions: March 25, 2025 Deadline for Submitting Final Academic Documents (conditional admission): July 31, 2025 Supporting Documents: Bachelor’s diploma and transcript (certified and translated if not in English). Passport copy. Proof of English language proficiency or registration for a language test by January 5, 2025. Application Process Online Application via DreamApply: Complete the form and upload required documents by January 5, 2025. Once submitted, the application and motivation letter cannot be edited. Applicants can add new documents like graduation certificates as they become available. Online Analytical Test: Conducted in January 2025, testing skills in chemical calculations such as mole and percentage calculations, solution concentrations, and analytical techniques like titration. Submission of Hard Copies: Successful applicants must send their signed application and certified documents to Student Admissions, University of Tartu by March 25, 2025. Evaluation and Ranking Criteria Applications are evaluated based on: Average Grade (40% weight) Motivation Letter (30% weight) Online Analytical Test (30% weight) A minimum score of 66% is required for eligibility. Applicants scoring below 75 points cannot be considered for EU scholarships but may qualify for tuition-waiver scholarships.
