To meet the eligibility criteria for the Master of Food Innovation and Product Design (FIPDes) Program, candidates should take into consideration the following points:
Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is mandatory, and during the course, there will be an opportunity to study the French language.
Eligible Countries: Open to candidates from all countries around the world.
Academic Background: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 180 ECTS or its equivalent in fields such as food science and technology, biotechnology, process engineering, biochemistry, nutrition, or related food fields. The program requires certain prerequisites (e.g., chemistry, biotechnology, process technology/engineering, biochemistry, mathematics, statistics), representing a minimum of three years of study at a foreign institute of higher education. Candidates should be interested in an international academic experience and aspire to pursue an international career.
English Proficiency Level: Demonstrated proficiency at the "B2 level" according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR, advanced), which can be established through one of the following methods: TOEFL with a minimum score of 575. Internet-based TOEFL with a minimum score of 90. IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5. Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency (FCE with B2 level, CAE, or CPE). For students with English as their mother tongue, a copy of their passport is required for verification. For students who have completed a higher education degree with English as the medium of instruction, a certificate from the university is necessary for confirmation. Proof of a stay of more than a year in an English-speaking country, supported by a certificate from the employer or other applicable sources. A copy of the passport page indicating the visa for entry and departure from the English-speaking country is also required for validation. Exemptions may be considered for exceptionally outstanding students with a lower level of English proficiency.
