Benefits

The AGRTPS scholarship provides comprehensive financial support to help you focus on your research goals: Living Stipend: You'll receive a generous annual stipend of $33,990 (2024 full-time rate), tax-free, to cover your living expenses in Australia. Reduced Tuition Fees: The scholarship includes a Research Training Program (RTP) place. This translates to a significant reduction in your tuition fees for up to four years of study. Relocation Assistance: If you're moving to Adelaide from overseas, you'll be eligible for an establishment allowance of up to $1,485 upon arrival at Flinders University. This allowance helps with relocation costs and airfare, provided you can show receipts for these expenses.
If English isn't your first language, you'll need to demonstrate English proficiency to be admitted. Here's how you can do that: Get the required score on an accepted English language test like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Cambridge tests. The specific score depends on the program you're applying for ( see table ). Remember, these tests must be taken at a registered testing center. Have a qualifying English-taught degree (secondary or higher) completed in a country where English is the main language. This can be used for programs requiring an IELTS score of up to 6.5, but the qualification evidence must be less than five years old. Complete a pre-course English program from an approved ELICOS provider. Temporary COVID-19 measure: Until Semester 2, 2023 (inclusive), we'll accept English language test results up to three years old due to testing disruptions. Normally, the results can't be older than two years. Important Notes: OET scores are only accepted for specific healthcare programs in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, and Health Sciences. For Bachelor of Nursing (both Pre-Registration and Graduate Entry) and Bachelor of Midwifery programs, accepted tests are IELTS (Academic), TOEFL (Internet), PTE (Academic), or OET. Pre-course programs (ELICOS) are not applicable for these programs. We recommend checking the university website for the latest information and the specific test score required for your program.
