Experience in electrochemical modeling and simulation. Knowledge of PEM and AEM electrolyzer technology. Skills in automation, data analysis (Python, LabView), and AI-driven optimization . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).

About the Scholarship: Forschungszentrum Jülich is looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate (w/m/d) to enhance the design, automation, and efficiency of electrolysis test stands. The role aims to improve energy efficiency and minimize degradation rates while optimizing coating and assembly processes for electrolyzer components. The research is conducted in collaboration with industrial partners, ensuring a real-world impact on hydrogen technology. Key Responsibilities Process Optimization: Enhance electrolysis test stands for accurate electrochemical characterization of materials. Data-Driven Research: Utilize AI and machine learning for data analysis and process optimization. Electrochemical Testing: Conduct experiments on PEM and AEM technologies and analyze operational data. Automation and Simulation: Develop automation strategies for electrolysis systems and integrate simulation models. Industry Collaboration: Work with industrial partners for real-world implementation of research findings. Publication and Presentation: Publish in leading scientific journals and conferences.
