FORTH Greece PhD Fellowship 2025 for FUSION project is available to undertake PhD, Fellowship level programs at Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH).

Eligibility

Applicants must:

Hold a BSc in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field
Have a MSc in a relevant discipline
Be a registered PhD candidate in a recognized institution
Demonstrate experience with plasma technology and material/water characterization techniques
Be fluent in Greek and possess at least B2-level English proficiency

Available Subjects

Following subjects are available to study under this scholarship program.
Physicochemical Characterization

Benefits

Duration: Up to 6 months (renewable based on project needs)
Stipend: Up to €840 per month (based on qualifications)

Key Responsibilities

The selected fellow will:

Conduct high-level research under the FUSION project scope
Focus on physicochemical analysis of water and materials
Use advanced characterization tools such as TGA, XPS, and BET
Work with plasma technology setups
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary and international research environment

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to applicants of all nationalities with fluency in Greek Language.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a scientific committee. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview, assessed on:

Background relevance
Communication and organizational skills
Motivation and team spirit
Commitment to project goals
Final results will be published on the FORTH/ICE-HT website and the DIAVGEIA transparency platform. Applicants may appeal the decision within five days of announcement.
