Eligibility
Who is Eligible for the Excellence Scholarship? To be considered for the Excellence Scholarship, you need to meet the following criteria: International Student Status: You must be an international student enrolled at HAW Hamburg. Additionally, you must have obtained your higher education entrance qualification outside Germany or have completed preparatory studies at a German Studienkolleg. Enrollment Status: For Bachelor’s students, you must have completed at least two semesters, and for Master’s students, at least one semester at HAW Hamburg. Standard Period of Study: You should be within the standard study duration (generelle Regelstudienzeit) of your degree course. Academic Performance: Your average grade must be at least 2.2, demonstrating consistent academic achievement. Government Funding Restrictions: You must not be receiving BAföG or other forms of government funding during your application.
