Phd Research Focus Bioproduction And Purification Of Siderophores

This PhD project will contribute to the Metallophore Group within the Biotechnology department at HIF, focusing on the scalable and efficient production of siderophores—iron-chelating compounds crucial in bioleaching, mining, and bioremediation.
Production of siderophores such as Desferrioxamine B (DFOB), Desferrioxamine E (DFOE), and Bisucaberin (Bis) through native biosynthesis, genetic engineering, and cell-free systems
Optimization of bioreactor-based production processes to maximize siderophore yield
Development of two-phase aqueous extraction systems for scalable downstream purification
