Eligibility
Must be a non-Chinese citizen, physically and mentally healthy, and have no criminal record.
Must demonstrate academic excellence and a positive learning attitude.
Must comply with Chinese laws and university regulations.
Must not currently hold any other Chinese scholarships, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship or Confucius Institute Scholarship.
Pre-degree/Undergraduate: High school diploma; age limit: 25
Master’s: Bachelor’s degree; age limit: 35
Doctoral: Master’s degree; age limit: 45
Chinese Language Programs: High school diploma; age limit: 55
General Scholar Programs: Bachelor’s degree or sophomore; age limit: 30
Advanced Scholar Programs: Master's degree holder; age limit: 40
Research Scholar Programs: Doctoral degree holder or associate professor; age limit: 50
Chinese-taught programs: HSK proficiency certificate
English-taught programs: IELTS/TOEFL for non-native speakers; English proficiency proof for native speakers
Chinese language programs: No prior language knowledge required

The scholarship covers tuition and internship fees. The funding package varies based on the level of study:
Doctoral Programs: CNY 40,000 per year (up to 4 years)
Master’s Programs: Up to CNY 30,000 per year (no more than 3 years)
Bachelor’s Programs: CNY 15,000 per year (4 years, 6 years for medical programs)
Pre-degree Programs: CNY 10,000 per year
Chinese Language/General/Advanced/Research Scholar Programs: CNY 5,000 per semester or CNY 10,000 per year (no more than 1 year)

Visit the official international student portal at Zhengzhou University .
Select the Henan Government Scholarship option during the application process.
Submit the required documents, including:

Academic transcripts
Passport copy
