Humboldt Residency Scholarship 2025, Germany (Fully Funded) is available to undertake level programs at Germany Universities.

Eligibility

The programme welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, including: Humboldt Foundation Alumni: Researchers with academic positions outside Germany. Junior Researchers: PhD candidates or early-career academics (PhD completed within four years). Civil Society Actors: Journalists, artists, social entrepreneurs, and others working outside academia. Candidates must demonstrate a strong connection to the theme of the future of food through their work or initiatives. Applications from innovative and creative individuals are highly encouraged.

The Future of Food: A Multifaceted Approach Food is not just a necessity; it is a cultural and societal cornerstone. The 2025 residency explores how technological innovations and ethical practices can address global food challenges. Key areas of focus include: Environmental Innovation: Tackling climate change, water scarcity, and soil degradation through sustainable agriculture, alternative protein sources, and digital solutions. Global Food Trends: Investigating the rise of veganism, disparities in meat consumption, and the push for dietary diversity. Health and Ethics: Addressing obesity, malnutrition, and unequal access to food while considering the impact of ultraprocessed foods. Cultural Perspectives: Examining food’s symbolic role in identity and its influence on consumption patterns. Led by creative visionary Prof. Dr. Dr. Vânia Zuin Zeidler, a pioneer in sustainable food systems, participants will delve into these themes, generating innovative outputs to inspire public dialogue.
