Eligibility
Master’s Degree Applicants Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0. English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL iBT 91 / EmSAT English 1550. Two letters of recommendation. Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words). Admission interview. Doctorate (PhD) Degree Applicants Master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.25/4.0 (for MSc holders) or Bachelor’s degree with CGPA 3.5/4.0 (for direct PhD entry). GRE quantitative score of 150. English proficiency: IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL iBT 91 / EmSAT English 1550. Two letters of recommendation. Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words). Research proposal (500-1,000 words). Admission interview. English Language Test Exemptions Applicants are exempted from IELTS, TOEFL, or EmSAT if: They are native English speakers with prior education in an English-medium institution. They previously achieved IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 79 / EmSAT 1400 at the time of admission to their previous degree.

Types of Khalifa University Scholarships for September 2025 Intake 1. MS/PhD Scholarships (Research Path – Work Commitment) Students under this path must work with Khalifa University or an affiliated entity after graduation. The scholarship tiers include: Tier I: Full tuition waiver, AED 20,000 monthly stipend, AED 20,000 additional allowance (subject to approval), textbooks, conference funding, visa application fees, and flights. Tier II: Full tuition waiver, AED 20,000 monthly stipend, AED 10,000 additional allowance (subject to approval), books, medical insurance, and flights. Tier III: 75% tuition waiver, AED 20,000 monthly stipend, medical insurance, visa application fees, and flights. Tier IV: 50% tuition waiver, free university accommodation, medical insurance, and visa fees. 2. PhD Scholarships (Study Path – No Work Commitment) For students who do not wish to commit to employment post-graduation, this scholarship offers the following tiers: Tier I: Full tuition waiver, AED 4,000 monthly stipend, free accommodation, medical insurance, visa fees, and flights. Tier II: 75% tuition waiver, AED 2,000 monthly stipend, free accommodation, and other benefits. Tier III: 5 0% tuition waiver, free accommodation, medical insurance, visa fees, and flights. Tier IV: 25% tuition waiver, free accommodation, medical insurance, and visa fees.
