Eligibility
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship, applicants must: Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. Return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their award has ended. Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time they submit their application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honors degree in the UK but may vary depending on the course and university choice. Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience. Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the Chevening deadline.

Application Procedure
Applications are submitted online directly to Chevening through the official Chevening website, not to King's College London. The application window opens in early August and closes in early October each year, and the selection process takes at least eight months. Applicants must also apply separately to three eligible UK master's courses (for example at King's) and hold at least one unconditional offer by the Chevening deadline for confirming university places. Chevening scholars at King's receive an additional 20% contribution towards their tuition fees from the university.
