Eligibility
To qualify for the KU Leuven Scholarship, applicants must:
Meet English language requirements (TOEFL minimum 94 or IELTS minimum 7).
Hold a bachelor’s degree from a foreign university that grants access to the chosen master’s programme.
Not have studied or worked previously at KU Leuven.
Not already hold a master’s degree or PhD.
Demonstrate excellent academic results.
Show strong motivation to pursue a master’s at the Faculty of Science.
Be willing to act as ambassadors for the programme.
Selected students must sign a contract outlining scholarship conditions.

Benefits
The KU Leuven Science@Leuven Scholarship provides:
Up to €12,000 for one academic year
Full tuition fee coverage

The exact amount awarded is determined by the Science@Leuven Fund Board.
For two-year master’s programmes, continuation of the scholarship in the second year depends on achieving outstanding academic performance in the first year.
Even if awarded the full €12,000, students are advised to bring additional funds for personal expenses.

Application Procedure
Follow these steps carefully:
Step 1 Apply For The Masters Programme
Submit your application through the official KU Leuven online application portal.
Step 2 Upload Required Documents
You must provide:
A complete transcript listing course titles, ECTS credits, and grades
A short course description (½–1 page) for relevant courses
Two reference letters from internationally recognized professors
A motivation letter
Step 3 Take A Screenshot
After submitting your master’s application, take a screenshot confirming successful submission.
Step 4 Apply For The Science Leuven Scholarship
Register separately for the Science@Leuven Scholarship and upload the screenshot as proof of programme application.
Step 5 Confirmation
Your application is complete once you receive an email confirming scholarship registration.
Important Notes
You can apply for the scholarship immediately after applying for the master’s programme — no need to wait for admission results.
However, if you are not accepted into the master’s programme, your scholarship application will not be considered.
Only complete applications meeting all requirements will be evaluated.
