Eligibility

To qualify for the LGBTQ+ Youth Leadership Awards 2026 , applicants must:

Self-identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community
Be 24 years old or younger
Have attended high school or completed a GED in the D.C. Metro Area
Be starting their first semester of post-secondary education by Fall 2026
Demonstrate leadership, personal growth, and community impact

Eligible applicants may include:

Graduating high school seniors
Students completing a GED
Students who have taken one or two gap years
Current college students returning to higher education are not eligible .
