MSc in Technology Innovation and Industrial Development (CEDAT)

MSc in Computer Science (COCIS)

MSc in Immunology and Clinical Microbiology

MSc in Health Informatics

MSc in Bioinformatics (CHS)

Focus Areas

Your proposed research project must align with at least one of the following:

Cardiovascular disease

Blood disorders

Chronic movement disorders

Biomaterials and drug delivery systems

Point-of-care diagnostics

Biomedical imaging

Artificial intelligence and data analytics

Selected students will receive the following:

Full tuition coverage at Makerere University for the MSc program

Monthly stipend to cover living expenses

Research funding to support their graduate thesis/project

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to students from Uganda.

Who Can Apply

This Biomedical Engineering MSc scholarship 2025 is open to students who:

Are Ugandan nationals with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a health-related field from a recognized university

Are currently enrolled in a relevant Master’s program at Makerere University

Have completed year one of their MSc studies with good academic standing

Are interested in medical devices and technological innovation

Selection Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

A strong academic record and relevant technical background

Clear interest in biomedical engineering and innovation

A research proposal that addresses health-related technology challenges in Uganda

Willingness to participate in an oral interview (scheduled for May 2, 2025)
