Eligibility
To qualify for the Knight Science Journalism Fellowship, applicants must: Be full-time journalists (staff or freelance). Have at least three years of experience in science, health, technology, or environmental reporting. Submit five work samples and a 500-word research project proposal. Additionally, international applicants are welcome and will receive visa support.

Course Audits: Fellows can audit courses at MIT, Harvard, and nearby institutions, tailoring their learning to their interests. Fellows can also leverage these resources to work on long-form narratives, multimedia projects, book proposals, or build expertise in new scientific areas.
