Overview

Moi University’s School of Engineering secured funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology for capacity building. This funding was initially awarded in the 2017/18 academic year and is now available for continuing students in the Mechanical Engineering programs for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Moi University Kenya Partial Scholarship 2025 is available to undertake Masters, PhD level programs at Moi University.

Available Subjects

Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Studies

Master of Science (MSc) in Sustainable Energy & Energy Access

Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Energy Studies

Benefits

The partial scholarship will cover:

A portion of the tuition fees

Note: The scholarship does not cover journal subscriptions or subsistence costs.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025 Partial Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Progress

Successfully passed coursework and defended research proposal at the School Graduate Studies Committee.

Active Research Engagement

Must be actively engaged in research as evidenced by the latest Research Progress Form, duly signed by supervisors.

Employment Status

Must be currently working in one of the following sectors:

Public University

Public Technical Training Institutions

Government Line Ministries

State Corporations

Other Public Sectors
