Eligibility
Non-Chinese Citizenship: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, aged 18 or older (born before September 1, 2007), with a high school diploma and strong academic performance.
Chinese Language Proficiency: A minimum score of 180 on the HSK Level 4 test is required.
Compliance with MOE Regulations: Candidates must adhere to the Ministry of Education’s guidelines outlined in Document No. 12 (2020).

Tuition and Other Fees Application Fee: 400 RMB (non-refundable). Tuition Fee: 20,000–25,000 RMB annually. Medical Insurance: 1,000 RMB per year. Scholarship Opportunities Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B): Covers tuition, accommodation, insurance, and living expenses. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship: Comprehensive financial support for eligible students. Tianjin Government Scholarship: Tuition assistance. “Study-at-NKU” President Scholarship: Tuition, accommodation, or living allowance. Accommodation for International Students Nankai University offers on-campus housing at the Jinnan and Balitai campuses, alongside off-campus options in cooperative apartments. Accommodation details are confirmed in the admission letter.

Application Procedure
Online Application: Register at the Nankai International Students Application System . Submit the application form and pay a non-refundable fee of 400 RMB. Application window: November 15, 2024 – May 20, 2025. Application Review: Applications undergo evaluation for completeness and accuracy. Integrative Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will participate in assessments scheduled for March, April, and May 2025. Top performers may qualify for scholarships, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship or “Study-at-NKU” President Scholarship. Admission Results: Admission decisions will be announced starting June 2025 via the online application portal. Required Documents for Application To ensure eligibility, candidates must provide the following documents: Passport and visa details (if applicable). Notarized high school diploma and transcripts. HSK Level 4 certificate. Personal statement and recommendation letter. Physical examination record. Proof of financial capability and a non-criminal record affirmation. Optional: Certificates or awards demonstrating additional academic or extracurricular achievements.
