Eligibility
To be eligible for the 2025 Summer Research Program, applicants must: Be a third/fourth-year undergraduate student or a graduate student. Be currently enrolled in a university recognized by the Taiwan Ministry of Education. Have a strong academic record and interest in engineering research. Communicate fluently in English (supporting documents such as TOEFL or IELTS are optional but recommended). Why Join NTHU’s Summer Research Program? Participants can choose to research in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering Power Mechanical Engineering Materials Science and Engineering Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management NanoEngineering and MicroSystems Biomedical Engineering This program is a tuition-free opportunity, with a limited number of scholarships available to cover airfare subsidies and housing fees.

Note: Students must cover daily living expenses, internet, bedding, and other personal costs.

Application Procedure
Step 1: Confirm Eligibility Check that you are from a recognized university and have completed at least two years of university studies. Step 2: Contact a Potential Faculty Advisor Applicants are encouraged to reach out to potential faculty advisors at NTHU to discuss possible research topics before applying. Step 3: Prepare Required Documents Merge the following documents into a single PDF file (max 3MB), titled as 2025SRP-First Name Last Name: Completed Application Form (Download: [DOCX] | [PDF]) Statement of Purpose / Study Plan Resume/CV Official Academic Transcript (latest record in English, including courses, grades, and credits) Proof of Student Status (issued by the home institution) Proof of Internship Requirement (if applicable, for graduation requirements) Photocopy of Passport Photo-page (clear and in color) Optional Documents Letter of Recommendation Proof of English Proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.) Certificates of Academic Excellence Step 4: Submit Online Application Complete the online application form here and upload your PDF file before the deadline (12:00 noon, February 28, 2025, Taiwan Standard Time). Step 5: Wait for Results Selected candidates will be notified in late March 2025.
