Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship, candidates must meet certain academic and test score requirements. Academic Pre-Requisites Bachelor’s Degree: At least Second Class Upper Honours or equivalent. GRE Scores: Verbal + Quantitative: 320/340 Analytical: 3.5/6 English Proficiency Tests: TOEFL (Internet-based): 85/120 IELTS: 6.0/9 Note: GRE and TOEFL/IELTS are mandatory if your undergraduate degree was not taught in English.

Benefits

The NUS-IRP Scholarship offers competitive monthly stipends based on the student's category that are Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) . An additional increment of SGD 500/month is provided after passing the PhD Qualifying Examination (QE). Below are the stipend details:

Singapore Citizens:

STEM Students: SGD 3,500/month
SSH Students: SGD 3,200/month

Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs):

STEM Students: SGD 3,100/month
SSH Students: SGD 2,800/month

International Students:

STEM Students: SGD 2,700/month
SSH Students: SGD 2,500/month

Additional Benefits:

CPF Contribution: Provided for Singapore Citizens.
Full Tuition Fee Subsidy: For up to 4 years.
