Eligibility
To be eligible for the Reach Oxford Scholarship, applicants must be nationals of countries that receive official development assistance, as listed by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, and many others qualify for this scholarship.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Nationality: Must be from a DAC-listed country.
Level of study: Undergraduate.
Year of study: New students applying for the first time.
Subject: All courses are eligible except for Medicine.
Financial need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need and the inability to study in their home country.

Academic excellence: Applicants must be of the highest academic ability.
Intention to return home: Scholarship recipients are expected to return to their home country after completing their studies.

Application Procedure
Students must first apply for an undergraduate place at the University of Oxford through UCAS by the mid-October deadline. Applicants who receive an offer are then invited in January to complete the Reach Oxford Scholarship application form, which closes in late January. Colleges shortlist candidates in April and the university announces the results by the end of May. Around two to three scholarships are awarded each year; Medicine is not covered.
