Eligibility

To be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Sciences Po, you must meet the following requirements: Citizenship: Be a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country. Dual citizens with the European Economic Area are not eligible. Educational Background: Completed or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree at one of Sciences Po’s partner institutions. Alternatively, have completed or are enrolled in a mentoring or bridging program associated with the Mastercard Foundation. Financial Need: Demonstrate genuine financial need with valid supporting documents (e.g., tax documents, scholarship certificates). Commitment to Africa: Show dedication to addressing challenges in Africa through public policy, environmental initiatives, or societal transformations. Age Requirement: Be under 35 years old at the start of the program. No Prior Master’s Degree: Applicants with an existing Master’s degree or those completing one are ineligible. Program Type: Apply for a two-year Master’s program (not applicable for one-year or dual/joint degrees).

Step-by-Step Application Process 1. Apply to a Sciences Po Master’s Program Choose your desired Master’s program from Sciences Po’s seven Graduate Schools. Submit your application through the international graduate admissions platform, opening in September 2024. 2.
