Eligibility

Class A: Full Scholarship for Master’s and Doctoral Students Who Can Apply? International students pursuing a master’s degree (under 35 years) or a doctoral degree (under 40 years). Applicants must have excellent academic records and be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Class B: Partial Scholarship for Degree Programs Who Can Apply? Students pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degrees at Shanghai universities. Bachelor’s applicants must be under 25 years and hold a senior high school diploma. Class C: One-Time Scholarship for Current Students Who Can Apply? International students already enrolled in Shanghai universities. Applicants must comply with Chinese laws and university regulations and maintain good academic standing. Eligibility Requirements Regardless of the scholarship category, applicants must: Be non-Chinese citizens from any country, in good health. Show strong academic performance. Comply with Chinese laws and university regulations. Not hold other Chinese government scholarships simultaneously.

Full tuition coverage. Monthly living allowance:1,100 RMB for master’s students. 1,400 RMB for doctoral students. Free basic accommodation. Major disease and accident insurance. Class B: Partial Scholarship for Degree Programs Tuition fee waiver. Registration fee coverage. Basic book expense. Class C: One-Time Scholarship for Current Students One-time financial award of 4,000 – 8,000 RMB.

Application Procedure

The application process is simple and includes these steps:

Apply directly to universities such as Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, or Tongji University.
Class A & B: January (consult specific university deadlines).
Class C: December.
Scholarship application form (in Chinese or English).
Highest diploma (notarized and translated if needed).
Academic transcripts (notarized).
A study or research plan (1,000+ words for Class A & B).
Two recommendation letters (for Class A & B master’s and doctoral programs).
Portfolio for music/art applicants.
