The SI Baltic Sea Neighborhood Programme is a funding opportunity designed to spark teamwork between Swedish organizations and their counterparts around the Baltic Sea and Eastern Partnership countries. There are two funding categories to choose from, depending on your project's stage:

1. Seeding Collaboration: Seed Funding

This grant is all about laying the groundwork for future partnerships. Ideal for project ideas in their early stages, seed funding can be used for activities like:

Preparing Winning Applications: Get expert help crafting strong proposals to secure funding, particularly from the EU.

Concept Development & Partner Scouting: Flesh out your project concept and identify ideal organizations from the Baltic Sea region and Eastern Partnership countries to join forces with.

Grant Details:

Funding Range: SEK 100,000 - SEK 400,000 (Swedish Krona)

Project Duration: 6 - 15 months

2. Deepening Cooperation: Funding for Cooperation Projects (Not available in the current summer 2024 call)

This grant is for established partnerships working on more in-depth, long-term collaborations. It supports projects that aim to:

Build Networks & Platforms: Foster communication and collaboration channels that bring stakeholders together.

Develop & Test Solutions: Pilot innovative approaches to address common challenges in the Baltic Sea region.

Shape Policy & Strategies: Provide valuable insights and recommendations to influence policy decisions.

Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building: Disseminate best practices and expertise across the region.

Funding Range: SEK 500,000 - SEK 1,000,000 (Swedish Krona)

Project Duration: 12 - 24 months

EU Core: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland

Non-EU Core: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine

The application period is open from June 19th to September 17th, 2024. Here's a breakdown of the process:

1. Get Ready to Apply (June 19th - September 17th):

Read the Instructions: Before you start filling out forms, make sure you understand the program's requirements.

Prepare Your Documents: Download the application templates provided by SI. These templates will guide you through the information needed for each section.

2. Fill Out the Application (June 19th - September 17th):

Online Application Form: Start your application on the SI application portal (opens soon).

Application Documents: Fill out the downloaded templates to describe your project's relevance, implementation plan, budget, and partner details.

3. Submit Your Application by September 17th:

Complete Online Form: Ensure all online application fields are filled in the SI portal.

Upload Documents: Attach all completed application documents from step 2.

Review and Submit: Double-check everything before submitting your application. You can save and edit it until you're ready.

Confirmation Email: You'll receive a confirmation email upon successful submission (check spam folder if needed).

4. Application Evaluation (After September 17th):

Review Process: The Swedish Institute will evaluate applications after the deadline.

Decision Timeline: Expect a decision within 3 months (approximately December 2024).

Results Announced: SI will publish a list of successful applicants on their website.

Important Notes:

The deadline for application submission is strict (September 17th, 23:59:59 CET).

Applications must be submitted through the SI application portal. Late or incomplete applications won't be considered.
