Eligibility
Program Details 1. Funding Categories and Eligibility The China Link Scholarship Program offers two main funding categories: General Scholar: Open to current undergraduates or master’s students. Senior Scholar: Designed for current Ph.D. students or academic faculty. Eligible applicants must: Hold citizenship from a country other than the People’s Republic of China. Be under 45 years of age for general scholars and under 50 for senior scholars. Be full-time students or employed full-time at CSC's partner universities (refer to Appendix 1 for the list of foreign partner universities). Obtain an admission notice or invitation letter from a participating Chinese host university (refer to Appendix 2 for the list of host universities). 2. Program Duration and Study Fields Applicants can choose study or research durations ranging from 1 to 12 months, with the start date no later than August 31, 2025. The program accepts all disciplines except for Chinese language study, and the medium of instruction can be English or Chinese, depending on the chosen program.

Application Procedure
Step 1: Pre-Admission Application Applicants must first apply to Sichuan University to obtain a pre-admission notice. Visit the university’s application portal at Sichuan University Online Application to start this process. Step 2: CSC Online Application Once pre-admission is secured, applicants should log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System at CSC Online Application. Use the agency number 10610 for Sichuan University when completing the online application. Detailed instructions are available in Appendix 3. Step 3: Application Review and Deadlines Application Deadlines: April 15, 2024; July 15, 2024; October 15, 2024; January 15, 2025. Result Notifications: Scholarship results will be sent to Sichuan University on May 15, 2024; August 15, 2024; November 15, 2024; and February 15, 2025. Sichuan University will then notify applicants of their admission status.
