To be eligible for the Sophie’s Live Out Loud Award , applicants must:
Identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community
Be 24 years old or younger
Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
Have attended school in the D.C. Metro Area
Be entering the first semester of post-secondary education in Fall 2026
Demonstrate leadership, resilience, and community impact
Be comfortable with public recognition if selected
The D.C. Metro Area includes Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas in Maryland and Virginia .
