Eligibility
To qualify for the Stanford SURF 2025 program, applicants must: Be at least 18 years old Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited public or private college/university in the United States or its territories Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (exceptions considered based on progression) Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a PhD in engineering Be available to stay on Stanford's campus for the entire program duration (June 21 - August 16, 2025) International students must be first-generation and/or from a low socioeconomic background

Selected students for the Stanford SURF 2025 program will receive the following benefits: Fully funded housing and meal plan Travel stipend A $5,500 stipend upon successful completion Coding experience Industry visits and Bay Area excursions Community-building activities Participation in a research symposium Strong mentorship and guidance for graduate school preparation
