Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must: Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport. Meet the age requirements: under 35 years old for Master’s programs and under 40 years old for Doctoral programs. Hold a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s applicants or a Master’s degree for Doctoral applicants. Demonstrate strong academic performance and language proficiency (HSK for Chinese-taught programs or TOEFL/IELTS for English-taught programs). Have no criminal record and be in good health. Selection Process The selection process involves: Qualification Review: SYSU evaluates applicants’ academic background, language proficiency, and supporting documents. Assessment: Shortlisted candidates undergo interviews or written tests conducted by the respective departments. Pre-admission: Successful applicants receive a pre-admission notice, which must be uploaded to the scholarship system. Final Admission: The China Scholarship Council reviews and approves the final admission list. Important Notes Admitted students must register on time and comply with visa regulations.
