To apply for the 2025 SWJTU Silk Road Scholarship, applicants must:

Be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.

Be under 35 years old (for Master’s) or 40 years old (for Ph.D.).

Hold a Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s) or Master’s degree (for Ph.D.).

Meet HSK Level 4 for Chinese-taught programs.

Meet SWJTU's academic and language requirements.

Visit: https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn

Select Type B , enter Agency No. 10613 (SWJTU), fill out the form and download the Application Form .

Step 2 Swjtu University Application

Visit: https://admission.swjtu.edu.cn

Upload the same documents as submitted on CSC portal.

Note : Both systems must be completed for a valid application.

Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form

Passport Copy (valid until after Sept 2025)

Notarized Degree Certificate and Academic Transcripts

Study Plan (min. 1000 words)

Two Recommendation Letters (dated 2024 or 2025)

Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Valid HSK, IELTS, or TOEFL score report

Non-Criminal Record Certificate

Guardianship documents (if under 18 years)

Selection Process

Preliminary Review : Based on document completeness and eligibility.

Application Fee : RMB 400 (non-refundable) for those passing the preliminary check.

Academic Review : Department-level evaluation including interviews or written tests.

Final Admission : Results to be announced in July or August 2025.

Important Notes

Application deadline is May 20, 2025 .

All applications must be submitted online only . Paper or email submissions are not accepted.

Scholarship holders cannot hold other Chinese Government Scholarships simultaneously.
