Eligibility
Applicants must: Possess a strong research background, typically demonstrated by a postdoctoral qualification or equivalent experience. Be based outside of the UK at the time of application. Hold permanent or fixed-term employment (fixed-term contracts must extend beyond the fellowship's duration). Be independent scholars or affiliated with an institution. Have established prior contact with a UK host institution (The British Academy cannot assist in finding or facilitating this connection). Diverse Applications Encouraged: A wide range of UK host institutions are welcome to nominate candidates. The program particularly seeks applications from: Historically underrepresented groups and those facing structural disadvantages. Researchers from low-income countries. Female researchers.

Benefits
Fellowship Duration and Funding: Visiting Fellowships are offered for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months. You can choose your preferred start date within the spring and summer months (March to August 2025). The maximum funding amount awarded is £40,000.
