Bachelor’s Degree: 4–6 years (depending on the program) + 1-year Turkish Language course.

Master’s Degree: 2 years + 1-year Turkish Language course.

PhD Degree: 4 years + 1-year Turkish Language course.

Research Scholarships: 3–12 months (short-term).

Eligibility

The Turkey Government Scholarship is open to outstanding students from all over the world , regardless of nationality. It is a highly competitive, government-funded program aimed at building a global network of future leaders who can contribute to international cooperation and mutual understanding among societies.

Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:

Academic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree applicants: Minimum 70% in previous studies
Master’s & PhD applicants: Minimum 75% in previous studies
Health Science applicants (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): Minimum 90%

Age Requirements:

Undergraduate: Under 21 years old
Master’s: Under 30 years old
PhD: Under 35 years old

Language Requirements:

Proficiency in English or Turkish (TOEFL or IELTS certificate recommended if studying in English)

Eligible Applicants:

Citizens of all countries
Graduates or students who will graduate before August 2025
Researchers and academicians

Non-Eligible Applicants:

Turkish citizens or former Turkish citizens
Students already enrolled in a Turkish university at the same level of study

Other Requirements:

Applicants must be in good health.
A Statement of Purpose (SOP) explaining why you are applying is required.
For PhD applicants, a research proposal and sample written work may be required.
Short-term programs may have additional requirements.
