Eligibility

To qualify for the University of the Year Dean’s Scholarship, applicants must:

Be classified as international, self-funding students paying the international tuition fee rate.
Hold an offer of admission for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at Ulster University starting in January 2026.
Meet all academic and English language requirements stated in the offer letter.
Be studying at one of Ulster’s Northern Ireland campuses: Belfast, Coleraine, or Derry~Londonderry.
Not be enrolled in MBBS, part-time, or eLearning programs, or at branch campuses in London, Birmingham, or Manchester.

Benefits

Successful students starting in January 2026 will automatically receive:

A £1,500 tuition fee discount as part of the Dean’s Scholarship
An additional £2,000 International Scholarship, totaling £3,500 off tuition fees
Students applying to select Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences programs may receive an enhanced award of £2,200, for a total of £4,200 in fee reduction
This award applies to the first year of study only and is not renewable for subsequent years.

Eligible Nationalities

The scholarship is open to international students from all countries outside the UK and Republic of Ireland (RoI).
