About The Unido Ifti Programme

The Industrial Futures Talent Initiative (IFTI) is a paid early-career programme that allows young professionals to work on real industrial development projects under the guidance of UNIDO experts. Participants are placed at UNIDO Headquarters in Vienna , where they contribute to policy development, project design, and sustainable industrial initiatives.
The programme is designed to support inclusive industrial development , aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , particularly SDG 9 , which promotes industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
Each year, UNIDO selects only a small number of candidates, making the programme highly competitive but extremely rewarding.
