Eligibility

To qualify for the Unite Foundation Scholarship 2025/26, you must:

Be 25 years old or younger on 1 September 2025.

Be starting or continuing your first undergraduate degree at a Unite Foundation partner university.

Have UK home fee status.

Be in receipt of or applying for student finance support as a care leaver, care-experienced, or estranged student.

Meet one of these definitions:

Care Leaver (England, Wales, Northern Ireland): Recognized by a Local Authority with care leaver status.

Care Experienced (Scotland): Previously looked after by a Local Authority.

Estranged Student: Officially recognized by student finance or SAAS as being permanently estranged from both parents.

You’ll need to provide supporting documents confirming your status from your local authority or student finance body.

Important: Only students studying at the main campuses of partner universities are eligible — students at franchise or satellite campuses are not.

Up to three years of free accommodation in a modern, fully furnished en-suite room within a shared flat.

365 days of housing each year, meaning you won’t have to vacate during holidays.

No rent, no bills, no deposit, and no guarantor required.

Full access to Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, communal kitchens, and on-site support services.

Flexibility to relocate to another Unite Students property if needed for a placement or holiday job.

Opportunities to engage with the wider Unite Foundation student community through events and media projects.

Eligible Nationalities

To be eligible for the Unite Foundation Scholarship 2025, applicants must hold UK home fee status. This typically includes:

UK citizens

Individuals with settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme

Those granted refugee or asylum status

Individuals with indefinite leave to remain in the UK

International and EU students who are classified as overseas fee-paying students are not eligible for this scholarship.

University Confirmation Deadline: 20 June 2025 at 11:59

Scholarship Results Announcement: 3 July 2025 (by 3:00 PM)

Accommodation Finalization: July–August 2025

Reserve List Clearing Ends: 29 August 2025

There are only 70 scholarships available this year, so applicants are encouraged to apply early and ensure their applications are complete and accurate.
