Eligibility
You are eligible if: In your final year of secondary school or kura: You're about to graduate from high school. Strong academic record and involvement outside the classroom: You've consistently achieved good grades and participated in extracurricular activities or given back to your community. Māori or Pacific Islander descent with academic achievements: You're a Māori or Pacific Islander student with a strong academic record. Overcame challenges to succeed academically: You've demonstrated academic success despite facing obstacles that may have limited your participation in school activities. Additional considerations: Citizenship or residency status: Some scholarships may require you to be a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or international student. Application Procedure
Timeline for applying to University of Auckland school-leaver scholarships : May 29th: Applications open. Start gathering info for your application. June 25th: Attend information session (online or recorded). July/Early August: Find and confirm your endorser. Mid-August: Follow up with endorser, aim to submit application 1 week before deadline. August 21st, 2024: Application deadline (11:59 pm). Early October: Scholarship decisions communicated via email. October: Accept offer if awarded (2 week deadline).
