Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be a citizen of an eligible Asian country or hold a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card
Be a full-fee paying international student
Not hold New Zealand citizenship or residency
Be enrolled or intending to enrol full-time at the University of Canterbury
Be studying in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate programme
Be enrolled in any discipline at the University of Canterbury

Note Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview .

About The Scholarship Founder

The scholarship was established in 2010 in memory of Eamon Mark Paul Molloy QSM , a New Zealand humanitarian who dedicated over 50 years to supporting overseas students, refugees, and ethnic minorities. His contributions included assisting international students with settlement, housing, welfare, and advocacy, leaving a lasting legacy within New Zealand’s multicultural community.
