Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship To apply for the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria: Academic Requirements Applicants must have the required academic qualifications for their chosen study level: Undergraduate (Bachelor’s): High school diploma or equivalent. Master’s: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Doctoral (PhD): Master’s degree in a relevant field. Good academic standing is essential. Language Proficiency Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English, typically through recognized language tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent. Some programs may accept proof of previous studies in English. Nomination by Sending Partner Each applicant must be nominated by their country’s Sending Partner (education authority or agency responsible for scholarship applications). Age Limit While there is no strict age limit, the applicant should be in good physical and mental health to undertake full-time studies. Exclusions Current students enrolled in Hungarian higher education institutions on self-financing terms are ineligible. Applicants holding dual citizenship with Hungary are not eligible.
