University of Glasgow UK PhD Scholarships 2025 (Fully Funded) is available to undertake PhD level programs at University of Glasgow.
Eligibility
The scholarship is open to candidates who, by September 2025, hold an honours degree in social sciences. While a Master’s degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. Applicants must meet the following academic criteria: A minimum upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or overseas equivalent. Evidence of some first-class level performance. Candidates without a Master’s degree must have a first-class undergraduate degree (or distinction equivalent). Additionally: Three international scholarships are available for candidates from OECD-classified Least Developed, Low-Income, Lower-Middle, or Upper-Middle Income countries. Two home scholarships are available for UK Widening Participation candidates.

Selected candidates for the University of Glasgow PhD Scholarship will receive a comprehensive funding package for 3.5 years, including: Full tuition fee waiver (home or international rate) Annual stipend at the UKRI rate Research Training Support Grant (up to £940 per year) Commencement bursary (one-time payment at the start of the PhD)

Demographic eligibility proof (passport, school transcripts for international applicants)
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an online interview. All offers are subject to successful admission into a PhD programme within the School of Social and Political Sciences.
