The Eric Bleumink Fellowship is available for:

Master’s programmes

MSc (Master of Science)

MA (Master of Arts)

LL.M. (Master of Laws)

The fellowship supports 1-year and 2-year Master’s programmes, starting in September intake only.

Eligibility

To be considered for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship, candidates must:

Receive provisional or unconditional admission to a Master’s programme at the University of Groningen before February
Complete the Master’s programme application before 1 December
Have excellent academic performance during undergraduate studies
Demonstrate strong academic ability, preferably supported by letters of recommendation
Meet the English language requirements of the chosen programme
Be available for the entire duration of the programme
Be in good health to obtain Dutch health insurance
Hold nationality of an eligible country
Have no other means of funding for the intended study

Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar
Ukraine, Jordan, Iran, Egypt, Morocco
Bolivia, Honduras, Nicaragua
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Senegal
Note: Applicants must hold the nationality of an eligible country and have no alternative funding sources.

Application Procedure

There is no separate application for the Eric Bleumink Fellowship.

The application process works as follows:

Apply for an eligible Master’s programme at the University of Groningen
Submit a complete Master’s application before 1 December
Receive a provisional or unconditional offer before February
The University of Groningen Admission Office, in consultation with faculty admission boards, selects and nominates suitable candidates
Nominated students are informed directly by the university
Note: Only nominated candidates can receive the Eric Bleumink Fellowship.
